Your GP practice is working differently and there are changes to how we review patients during this time.  We will not accept patients walking in and having face to face appointments unless the doctor has spoke with you on the telephone.  If you want to request your repeat medication and usually drop your request off at the practice, we will accept the request over the phone during this time.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult period and helping us to keep our patients and our staff safe and well.

GP Net Earnings

NHS England require that the net earnings of GPs engaged in the practice is publicised and the required disclosure is shown below.  However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time GPs spend working in the practice and it should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings nor to make any comparison with any other practice.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (i.e. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in The Halliwell Surgery in the last financial year was £63,179 before tax and NI. This calculation is for 3 full-time GPs, 1 part-time GP and 1 Locum who has worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
